Upper Extremity Skill Training
Improvement of dexterity of the upper extremity has been demonstrated in numerous studies. Global cognition is related to upper-extremity motor skill retention in individuals with mild-to-moderate Parkinson disease. Working the upper extremities can help with rigidity and overall flexibility, but even impacts the smallest movements utilized with your hands. Working upper extremities overall can also help reduce tremor and improve hand-eye-coordination.
